A FAVOURITE SHIP
JAFFA GLORY
To my mind there is absolutely no reason why a ship seen just this year cannot qualify as a favourite ship.
Those who reviewed my Easter Parade will recall that I nominated this view as the best from my Easter holiday with my wife in Vlissingen.
This photo was taken on 24 April 2000. The significance is that this must have been her last commercial voyage as one month later, on 22 May 2000 she arrived at Alang in India to be broken up.
She was 10559gt, built in 1974, Panama flag, ex Kinaros V-97, ex Pacific Reefer-91
The above view is from a colour print. I also tried to scan my slide, but seemingly not to such good effect!
