A Great Pair of .....!
In this day and age one has to be careful what one says! When talking of the Cock tugs of Liverpool, perhaps extra careful!!

MARSH COCK

NORTH COCK
These two lovely tugs were both recorded at Liverpool on 10 July 1967. As can be plainly seen, they are sisters. They carried these Cock names for only about one year until being broken up in 1968.
Both were products of Cochrane & Sons Ltd. of Selby, the NORTH COCK completed in September 1936, and the MARSH COCK a month later. They spent 31 years, most of their fairly long, and certainly active, lives with the Alexandra Towing Co. Ltd., until earlier in 1967 the HORNBY became the NORTH COCK, her sister having been the WAPPING for 31 years.
The stern aspect may be the same for each, but it does them proud, and looking back I was pleased to see them - and to show them to you now.

Not nearly so impressive a photo because of fogging, but this other view of the NORTH COCK was taken the same day within the Liverpool Docks system:
