Middlesbrough Dock - 8 August 1962
Another view from the first film with my then new camera,
and a sighting in my home waters after a day out during which I had seen 150
ships in a round tour of Hartlepool (well, ships noted from the train!),
Sunderland, Tyne, and ending up back at Middlesbrough Dock. 114 of those 150
sightings were noted on the Tyne itself!
I was then about three days into enjoying the use of a new camera - box
Brownie type, but still a vast improvement on the one I'd used for about 16
months! So, of those 150 different ships, how many did I actually photograph?
You will not believe me, but I'll tell you! 6 (six)!! - 2 in Sunderland, 3 on
the Tyne, 1 in Middlesbrough Dock!!
