USTKA

Previously shown back in 2001 with the following comments:
Two nice shots (to me) with the new camera I had then had
for three and a half months. The USTKA (Poland/1109/37, ex Ruhr) alongside
Middlesbrough Wharf on 14 February 1967. Broken up in 1972.
The name Middlesbrough Wharf was newer even than my camera, the name having been
bestowed on the former Tyne-Tees/Dent's Wharves after they became part of the
newly formed Tees and Hartlepools Port Authority from 1 January 1967.
06.02.06: From Riversea International:
built Stettiner Oderwerke (799) as RUHR for Rud. Christ. Gribel, Stettin;
Scuttled as a blockship at Stettin in 3/1945;
Refloated 1950, returned to service in 1957 as USTKA;
Broken up at Bilbao, arrived 10/1/1972

Graham Thursby provided his excellent shot of the USTKA in the Kiel Canal
probably in 1968.

At the same time Riversea International was showing Charlie Hill's view of her in the River Ouse.

These both give a much better idea of her profile than my own berthed views.
